Raad Sharar is the Programme Coordinator for the Emerging New Civilisations Impact Hub at the Club of Rome. She is a development anthropologist. She has worked in social development in Bangladesh focusing on climate change, climate activism, sustainability and gender. Her work highlighted learner-driven and transdisciplinary approaches to social development and she has also co-conducted workshops on learner-driven approaches at the 52nd St Gallen Symposium as well as at KU Leuven.
She has also obtained two Masters degrees from KU Leuven, Belgium on Social and Cultural Anthropology and Development Anthropology respectively. During her time at KU Leuven, she further explored learner-driven forms of education through the Honours Programme, Transdisciplinary Insights and has designed a playable computer game along with her team and has also published, on this issue.
