Two bars of gold dripped and splattered #1

lender: Rabo Kunstcollectie

Educated as an architect and artist, Sarah van Sonsbeeck uses gold as a medium for minimalist works which engage in a dialogue with both their surroundings and topical issues. Her work focuses on the thin permeable line between interior and exterior - without concern for the façade. The work 'Two bars of gold dripped' translates the unit of the standard gold bar into a more flowing shape reminiscent of this raw material that is intertwined with our financial system.
