How is Isa doing and what are the activities for 2024?

THE ACTION RESEARCH: Looking back and forward

Fair Jobs is an action research project on how the temporary employment industry works when it comes to mediating migrant workers. The project tests whether it is possible to do this fairly by putting the interests of temporary workers first.

Retrospective: How is Isa doing?

Founding members Klaas Burger, Francien Winsemius, Boris Zafirov and Dilber Kurum of Fair Jobs looks back at the story of co-founder Isa Ivanov from Bulgaria. In the late spring of 2023, Isa was offered a job, but at the time he did not want to migrate. Instead, he became a grandfather. And what about his dream of owning a horse?

Looking ahead: pilot plan
Together with business coach Kim Kiszelnik and with support from Stichting Doen, Fair Jobs was able to develop a pilot plan for a business. What are the activities for 2024? Three hirers, who want to work together with Fair Jobs, will introduce themselves this afternoon.

In addition, Godelieve Spaas professor of Economy in Common at CoE Welfare Economics & New Entrepreneurship (Avans) will give her vision on this.

This afternoon is specifically intended for professionals from the field of labour migration: employment agencies, hirers, NGO’s, social workers, unions and local and national governments.
